KULLU-MANALI, INDIA TO SINGAPORE: WEDWEBCHAT ON ‘WHAT DOES THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE?”, 4th JULY 2025

Susan Griffith-Jones was invited by Storm Asia Group, Singapore, to take part in their Weekly Webchat to discuss the topic,

“What does the future look like?”

with 3 other guests.

Prior to the event, Susan had been asked to sum up her immediate feelings on the future and wrote as follows:

“Envisioning how the world may be within 10 years from now is a significant challenge. However, drawing on the ancient wisdom of the Buddha, we should recognise that our current state of consciousness – hence the choices we make today – are shaped by the past and will, in turn, determine the future. Thus, our present actions and mindsets are already set to influence tomorrow. While the future is uncertain, it is filled with possibilities across all areas of life; technological advances, AI assistance; environmental initiatives that expand the use of clean and renewable energy while working in harmony with natural ecosystems, as well as social restructuring to promote equality and cultural diversity and smart infrastructure designed to enhance our quality of life and a more interconnected world that may balance innovation while working with natural contours of our Mother Earth. Yet, it must be stressed that the future we wish to see a decade from now will depend entirely on the value of our individual consciousnesses, as each of us impacts decisions that can either harmonise or destabilise progress.”
